New app inferface

We're excited to announce our new interface for the Babbel app! While your favorite features and content remain, we've crafted the new interface to make your learning experience even easier and more intuitive.

Why did we make this change?

Our new interface has been redesigned to create a more intuitive and engaging experience that will help you learn faster and more effectively. The new design places your learning content at the forefront, while ensuring easy access to additional features and content that will help you practice and master your new language.

Based on your feedback and experience, we've also introduced a new way to track your progress and celebrate your achievements in a more meaningful way.

Learn tab - progress on your language journey

The first and main tab in the Babbel app is now named “Learn”. Here, you’ll always find your upcoming lessons, guiding you along your learning path. Here you can also browse all of our courses and switch between them if you want to skip ahead or review previous lessons.

On the Learn tab, you'll get suggestions to review your vocabulary, ensuring you stay sharp in your language skills. If you have words or phrases that need refreshing, a card will appear at the top of the screen, giving you quick access to your vocabulary trainer.

Just below your current lessons, you’ll discover the 'More for You' section. Here, you’ll find personalized recommendations and additional content, like extra lessons on specific topics, the 'Word of the Day,' or our 'Conversation Practice' to further improve your language skills

If you started listening to our podcasts or explored our lessons from the supplementary courses, they will be available for easy access in the section “In Progress”

Practice tab - sharpen your skills

The Practice tab serves as your dedicated hub for enhancing your language skills beyond the main courses. We’ve organized our content into different skill areas:

• Vocabulary, where you can find and practice all your learned phrases and words
• Listening, where you can access Audio recap and Podcasts
• Speaking, where you can use Guided conversations and AI Conversational Partner
• Grammar, with our Grammar guide

Keep in mind that the availability of these features depends on the language you are learning

Progress tab - celebrate your achievements

At the top of the Progress tab, you'll find 'Your Goal' - a constant reminder of your language-learning mission. We know that learning a new language can be a daunting experience, so this is a great way to remind yourself why you're doing it!

Below you can see "Your Courses" - an overview of your progress with the percentage of lessons completed in your current course, or drill down to see all your past and future lessons.

In the 'Learning Stats' section, we display the number of lessons you’ve completed and the total time spent learning since you began your Babbel journey

With 'Your Vocabulary,' you can track how many new words and phrases you’ve recently learned, view your total count, and quickly access them for review.

At the bottom of the tab, you’ll find the 'Assessment Test,' where you can take our placement quiz to determine your current learning level, and 'Challenges,' where you can track your commitments, such as the Streak Challenge.
